How important is a Politician's image?

We've all just been treated on BBC1 to a 'Party Political Conference Broadcast' from the Liberal Democrats - and no doubt there will be several more over the next few weeks as the Tories and Labour present their messages to the Party faithful.

On a day when Kate Moss' image proves just a little too exciting for some fashion brands, I watch Charles Kennedy and wonder just what it is about him, his politics, his image and his presentation that makes him believe he has the remotest chance of getting the attention of the electorate.

But it's not just Charles.

In fact - can anyone reading this, sum up in just three sentences what each of the three main parties actually stand for in the UK?

What exactly are each of their USPs? I bet noone here can tell me.

Phil.
